We were booked in there.
Nettie, the owner, saw us in Tallula, said "you are my kind of band!"
We booked Nov 11th.
When we arrived, she told us we were cancelled due to an "emergency".
I didn't see one.
Anyway...on the way back home we stopped into Dena's Bar & Grill in Ashland.
Told Dena our hard luck story and asked if they'd like a band...for free.
In 20 minutes we had rearranged the place and were playing.
It was the best time any of us had in years.
